Sunday, July 27 | ARRIVAL IN CAIRO
- Meet & greet at Cairo International Airport (CAI) by our Egyptologist tour director.
- Private air-conditioned transfer to hotel.

- Evening: Welcome dinner at a Nile-view restaurant in Zamalek.

Monday, July 28 | GIZA PLATEAU & THE GRAND EGYPTIAN MUSEUM
- Morning: Guided visit to the Giza Plateau – Great Pyramids of Khufu, Khafre & Menkaure, the Great Sphinx, and the Valley Temple. (Optional camel ride).
- Afternoon: Full guided tour of the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) – Tutankhamun's complete treasure, the colossal Ramesses II statue, and 100,000+ artefacts.
- Evening: Free time. (Optional: Sound & Light Show at the Pyramids.)

Tuesday, July 29 | MEMPHIS, SAKKARA & OLD CAIRO
- Morning: Drive south to Memphis (open-air museum, fallen colossus of Ramesses II) and the Step Pyramid complex at Saqqara (Djoser's pyramid, Pyramid of Unas).
- Afternoon: Explore Islamic & Coptic Cairo – the Citadel of Saladin, Alabaster Mosque, the Hanging Church, Ben Ezra Synagogue, and Khan el-Khalili Bazaar.
- Evening: Free for shopping or an optional Nile dinner felucca cruise. 🏨 Overnight: Cairo

Wednesday, July 30 | CAIRO → LUXOR – EMBARK NILE CRUISE
- Morning: Free time / optional visit to the Egyptian Museum (Tahrir) or a Coptic Cairo deep-dive.
- Midday: Transfer to Cairo Airport for domestic flight Cairo → Luxor (approx. 1 hr 10 min).
- Afternoon: Board your 5★ Nile Cruise vessel at Luxor dock. Welcome cocktail & cabin assignment.
- Late Afternoon: Guided visit to Karnak Temple (Avenue of Sphinxes, Hypostyle Hall) and Luxor Temple (illuminated evening visit). 🚢 Overnight: Nile Cruise – docked at Luxor

Thursday, July 31 | VALLEY OF THE KINGS & CRUISE TO EDFU
- Morning: Cross to the West Bank: Valley of the Kings (3 tombs included + optional Tutankhamun tomb upgrade), Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari, Colossi of Memnon.
- Midday: Cruise departs south toward Edfu. Lunch on board.
- Afternoon/Evening: Onboard lecture: "The Science of Eclipses & Ancient Egyptian Astronomy" by our resident astrophysicist guide. Sunset tea on the sundeck. 🚢 Overnight: Nile Cruise – sailing / docked en route

Friday, August 1 | EDFU, KOM OMBO & ARRIVAL ASWAN
- Morning: Visit the Temple of Horus at Edfu – best-preserved temple in Egypt.
- Midday: Sail to Kom Ombo; visit the unique double temple of Sobek & Haroeris. Crocodile museum.
- Afternoon: Arrive Aswan. Optional felucca sail around Elephantine Island and the Aswan Botanical Garden.
- Evening: Nubian cultural dinner with live music on board. Eclipse-prep briefing & distribution of certified ISO 12312-2 eclipse glasses. 🚢 Overnight: Nile Cruise – docked at Aswan

Saturday, August 2 | ☀️🌑 THE TOTAL SOLAR ECLIPSE – ASWAN
- Early Morning: Optional visit to the Philae Temple (Isis) and the Aswan High Dam.
- Late Morning – Eclipse Event (approx. 12:30 – 13:00 local time): Private eclipse-viewing site on the west bank of the Nile near Aswan (inside the path of totality).
- Guided solar observation with telescopes fitted with H-alpha and white-light filters.
- Live commentary by our astronomer / astrophysicist. Totality duration at site: ≈ 6 min 10 s
- Champagne toast & commemorative photo at maximum eclipse. Eclipse observation kit included: ISO-certified glasses, solar viewer card, event certificate.
- Afternoon: Return to cruise ship. Festive "Eclipse Gala Lunch" on the sundeck.
- Late Afternoon: Free time in Aswan souk or optional Abu Simbel by road (pre-dawn departure option available for the advanced traveller – see Optional Excursions).
- Evening: Farewell dinner on board. 🚢 Overnight: Nile Cruise – docked at Aswan

Sunday, August 3 | DISEMBARK & DEPARTURE
- Morning: Disembark after breakfast.
- Transfer to Aswan International Airport (ASW) for departure flight or connecting domestic flight Aswan → Cairo for international connection.
- Tour ends with a stamped "Eclipse Explorer" certificate and photo USB.
