Temple of Ramses II (Ramesseum)

The Temple of Ramses II, also known as the Ramesseum, is one of the most impressive monuments of ancient Egypt. It was built by the pharaoh Ramses II to commemorate his military victories and to glorify his divine status. The temple complex consists of a large hypostyle hall, a smaller second hall, a sanctuary, and several statues and reliefs depicting the king and his family. The most famous feature of the Ramesseum is the colossal statue of Ramses II, which once stood 17 meters high and weighed 1000 tons. Although it is now in ruins, the statue still conveys the power and majesty of the pharaoh who ruled Egypt for 66 years.

Temple of Ramses III (Hapu Temple)

The Temple of Ramses III, also known as the Hapu Temple, is one of the most impressive monuments in Luxor, Egypt. It was built by the pharaoh Ramses III in the 12th century BC to honor the god Amun and his own achievements. The temple complex consists of a large pylon, a courtyard, a hypostyle hall, and several sanctuaries and chapels. The walls are decorated with reliefs depicting scenes of religious rituals, military campaigns, and daily life.

The temple of Queen Hatshepsut

The temple of Queen Hatshepsut is one of the most impressive monuments of ancient Egypt. It was built by the female pharaoh Hatshepsut, who ruled from 1479 to 1458 BCE, to honor her divine ancestry and achievements. The temple is located on the west bank of the Nile, near the Valley of the Kings, and consists of three terraces connected by ramps and adorned with statues, reliefs and obelisks. The temple reflects Hatshepsut’s vision of herself as a powerful and legitimate ruler, as well as her respect for the traditional religious beliefs and practices of her people.

The temple of Seti I

The northernmost Temple of Millions of Years on the West Bank at Luxor (ancient Thebes) is that of Seti I. Nineteenth Century travelers called it the Temple of Qurna, the Egyptians named it “Glorious Seti in the West of Thebes”. The temple was originally named, “Seti I is Beneficent in the Domain of Amen, which is on the West of Thebes”. Seti I dedicated the temple to his father and the god, Amun-Re.
